NLE3, NLE7, and NLE18:
A reciprocal translocation involving HyA2 and HyA6 generated NLE3 and the intermediate T(2/6). A second intermediate was produced by the HyA24/HyA27 Robertsonian fusion in NLE/SSy/HLA ancestor. A reciprocal translocation between these two intermediates generated the NLE7a and NLE18. A second form of chromosome 7 (7b) (Koehler et al. 1995) is present in the Nomascus population, as a result of a pericentric inversion.
